-MICHIGAN Leone Ann Barnett April 10, 1921-Dec. 14, 1994 MARCELLUS Leone Ann Barnett, 73, of South Haven, formerly of Marcellus, died at 6:03 a.m. Wednesday in Borgess Medical Center, Kalamazoo, after an illness. Mrs. Barnett was born April 10, 1921, in Anderson, and moved to the Marcellus area in 1969.

On Dec. 15, 1945, in Anderson, as Leone Ann Berry, she married Myron J. Barnett. He died Sept. 23, 1975.

Surviving are six daughters, Patricia Goff of Phoenix, Linda Rutter of Waukegan, Nancy Yeoman of Jones, Dorothea Taylor of Grand Rapids, Vanessa Wilkinson of Traverse City, and Jerrie 1 Barnett of Marcellus; a son, Brett of Marcellus; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Hoke of Anderson; and a brother, Jack Berry of Fort Myers, 1 Fla. She was a member of Covert Bible Church. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Mater Funeral Home. Burial will be in Marcellus Cemetery.

4, 1921-Dec. 13, 1994 LAPORTE Stanley Block, 73, of 411 Niesen died at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday in his home. Mr. Block was retired from Allis-Chalmers Manufacturing where he worked for 36 years, and also worked at Weber Sign Co.

He was born Dec. 4, 1921, in Michigan City and had lived in the LaPorte area for 41 years. On June 6, 1953, in LaPorte, he married Joan Dostojewski. She survives with a daughter, Adrienne Block of Lafayette, a sister, Rose Kniola of Michigan City; and two brothers, Clarence of Bakersfield, and Richard of Brownsville, Texas. Mr.

Block was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, its Holy Society, the Catholic Order of Forresters, Polish National Alliance 1120 and Polish Roman Catholic Union 1031. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the church. Burial will be in Pine Lake Cemetery.

7, 1906-Dec. 14, 1994 BERRIEN CENTER Ardon Robert Brenner, 88, of 9285 Michigan 140, died at 12:35 a.m. Wednesday in his home after an illness. Mr. Brenner operated a grain and dairy farm and formerly was employed at Bendix South Bend, and Cook Nuclear Plant, Bridgman.

He was born Aug. 7, 1906, in Berrien Center and lifelong area resident. On Nov. 28, 1944, in Berrien Springs, he married Emma L. Rudlaff.

Daveline, 77, of North St. Peter Street, died at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday in his home after an illness. Mr. Daveline retired from Ball Band and was a former employee of Bendix Corp.

He was born July 9, 1917, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. On July 7, 1959, in Toronto, he married Camilla McCaffrey. She survives with a brother, Richard of Pueblo, Colo. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Oakdale died at 1:25 p.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph's Medical Center of an apparent heart attack. Mr. Gieracz retired from St.

Joseph's Mother House as a caretaker. He was born May 16, 1916, in Poland, and came to the United States in 1949, coming from Germany. In 1946, in Germany, he married Pauline Atamanuk. She survives with a daughter, Mary Ann Jackson of Niles; a son, George of Mishawaka; three grandchildren; three sisters, Danuta Pomikowska and Helena Niedziela, both of Poland, and Sofia Kuta of South Bend; and a brother, Jerry of Poland. A son, Edward, preceded him in death.

16, 1909, in Chicago and moved to Sawyer in 1969. She married Ralph Carter, who died in 1993. Surviving are two daughters, Carol Van Haren of Northville, and Anita Erskine of Riverdale, eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church.

She taught in the North Judson-San Pierre Schools for 12 years and also taught at Purdue University Northcentral, Westville. She was born Jan. 16, 1949, in Dayton, Ohio, and had lived in the San Pierre area for 21 years, coming from North Vernon, Ind. On Dec. 23, 1972, in Osgood, she married Arthur F.

Luedtke. survives with a daughter, Jennifer Luedtke of San Pierre; two sons, Jeffrey and Kevin, both of San Pierre; her parents, Garland and Loredith (Nickle) Rudd of North Vernon; a sister, Shiela Miller of North Vernon; and a brother, Ronald Rudd of Westport, Ind. Mrs. Luedtke received a bachelor's degree from Indiana State University and a master's degree from Valparaiso University. She was member of Davis Wesleyan Church, Hamlet, Delta Kappa Gamma, the Indiana State Teachers Association and Family of God, a secretary of the Indiana North District Women's Retreat Committee and a "Buddy" coordinator.

She was a charter member of the church. Ellen Fae Smith April 16, 1915-Dec. 13, 1994 NEW PARIS Ellen Fae Smith, 79, of Lakeland Loving Care Center, Milford, formerly of New Paris, died at 7 a.m. Tuesday in the center after an illness. Mrs.

Smith farmed with her husband for 40 years. She was born April 16, 1915, in Elgin, N.D. On March 14, 1935, she married Guy Allen Smith. He died Aug. 27, 1993.

Surviving are a niece, Donna Varner of Milford; and two nephews, Max Ruch of Walls, and Scott Smith of New Paris. She volunteered with the World Missionary Press in New Paris and was a charter member of Peo-, ples Bible Church in Benton, Ind. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the church. after 31 years of service. He was born April 21, 1913, in Live Oak, Fla. On June 30, 1946, in Tampa, he married Eurena Wigfall Moore. She survives with a daughter, Helen Harris of South Bend; two sons, Eric of South Bend and Alphonso of Gary; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lena King of Plant City, Fla. He was a member of Pilgrim Baptist Church and the Senior Choir.

Tenney, 87, of Columbia City, formerly of Pierceton, died at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday in Miller's Merry Manor, Columbia City. Mr. Tenney founded the Tenney Chrysler-Dodge dealership in 1935, operated it for 34 years and later was an equipment pervisor in the Fort Wayne area for the Indiana State Highway Department. He also operated a service station in Columbia City.

He was born Oct 4, 1907, in Kosciusko County and moved to Columbia City in 1928. In 1938, he married Dorothy M. Linn. She died Dec. 29, 1984.

He then married Pat Tellman, who survives with his daughter, Betty L. Weaver of Elkhart; a son, Richard of Grove City, a stepson, Robert Tellman of Angola, five grandchildren; four a brother, Clifford of South Bend. Tuesday in Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, of natural causes. Miss Pogue was born Nov. 4, 1977, in Mishawaka. She i is survived by her parents, Linda Salisbury of Goshen and Ted Pogue of Mishawaka; a stepsister, Amy Barner of Goshen; a stepbrother, Dennis Salisbury of Goshen; a maternal grandmother, Stella Meyers of Mishawaka; and a paternal grandmother, Lucille Pogue of Mishawaka. Charles E. Ringenberg May 16, 1915-Dec. 13, 1994 SOUTH BEND Charles E. Ringenberg, 79, of St. Petersburg, formerly of South Bend, died Tuesday in Gulfport (Fla.) Healthcare Rehabilitation Center.

Mr. Ringenberg was a self-employed chauffeur in Florida, the former of Charlie's Feed Store and umpired for the All American Girl's Baseball League that included the South Bend Blue Sox. He was born May 16, 1915, in Leesburg, and lived in South Bend until 1995. He is survived by a daughter, Carol J. Patterson of South Bend; and two grandsons, Rick Patterson of Millersburg and Randy Patterson of Arvada, Colo.

Anderson- Funeral Home, St. Petersburg, handled arrangements. step-grandchildren; eight greatgrandchildren; and eight step-greatgrandchildren. Mr. Tenney was a past president of the Columbia City Board of Zoning Appeals and served on the Columbia City Planning Commission.

He was a member of the Columbia City Masonic Lodge 189, Scottish Rite, Mizpah Shrine, Whitley County Shrine Club and Columbia City Eagles, and was a past exalted ruler of the Columbia City Elks. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Smith and Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Waggoner, 49, of 400 Pontiac died at 9 a.m. Wednesday in Ligonier Health Facility of natural causes. Mrs. Waggoner was born Jan. 1, 1945, in Ligonier and was a lifelong area resident.

Surviving are three daughters, Christine Coffing and Annette Short, both of Ligonier, and Ellen Sue Waggoner of Albion, a son, James of Buchanan; eight grandchildren; a sister, Cynthia Hess of Huntington, and a brother, Roger Crothers of Ligonier. A son and a grandchild preceded her in death. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Orr Funeral Home. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery.

Wilson, 69, of 1105 W. 10th formerly of RollPrairie, died at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday in LaPorte Hospital after an illness. Mrs. Wilson was born March 4, 1925, in LaPorte and was a lifelong area resident.

On Dec. 25, 1952, in LaPorte, she married George R. Wilson. He died Oct. 26, 1986.

24, 1921-Dec. 12, 1994 SOUTH BEND Eileen Dunbar Snell, 73, of Bloomington, formerly of South Bend, died Monday in Bloomington Hospital. Mrs. Snell was born Jan. 24, 1921, in South Bend, and lived in Bloomington most of her life.

Her husband, Clifford Doan Snell, preceded her in death. She is survived by two sons, John C. of Fishers, and Thomas R. of Ballwin, a stepson, Richard eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was a graduate of North Park College.

She is survived by two daughters, Jane Sander of Rye, N.H., and Jill Walther of Gaithersburg, three sons, John of Mason, James Cote-Wurzler of Shelburne, and Joel of West Islip, N.Y.; 13 grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren; and a sister, Maryann Halnon of Bristol, Vt. A-bomb plane's navigator dies at 76 CORONA, Calif. (AP) Dr. James F. Van Pelt the navigator of the U.S. plane, that dropped the atomic bomb on Nagasaki, Japan, in World War IL, died Saturday.

He was 76. Dr. Van Pelt served in the Army Coast Artillery from 1940-42, then transferred to what was then called the Army Air Force. He was a member of the 509th Composite Group, which had the mission of dropping the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945. After the war, he earned his medical doctor's degree and specialized in obstetrics and gynecology at Charity Hospital of New Orleans.

Dr. Van Pelt retired from the Air Force as a colonel in 1965 and went into private practice..
