Derry - Thomas W. Clausnitzer, 64, passed away on Friday, May 31 surrounded by family, after a long battle with diabetes in Portsmouth, NH.Tom was born in Haverhill, the son of Walter A. and Evelyn T. (Wholley) Clausnitzer, he was the youngest of their three children. Thomas was a graduate of Whittier Vocational Technical High School, Class of 1979. He was a long term employee (20+ years) of Lucent Technologies, performing duties as a test station operator. Londonderry - Francisco "Frank" Carrero, 76, of Londonderry, NH, passed away on Tuesday, June 4th, 2024, at the Elliot Hospital.Frank was born on March 1, 1948, to Inocencia Vega and Gregorio Carrero. He lived in Puerto Rico until the age of 12, when he moved to Florida. Francisco began working on various vegetable farms. Upon moving to New Hampshire in his early 20s, he began his career in the automotive industry. Frank spent twenty years working for 128 Mazda in Wakefield before working as a Lot Manager of a local dealership in Manchester.In his spare time, Frank enjoyed going for motorcycle rides. Litchfield, NH & Andover - Raymond E. Nolin, a resident of Litchfield, New Hampshire, formerly of Andover, MA and beloved husband of the late Barabara A. Nolin, passed away surrounded by his family at his home on Thursday, May 30, 2024. He was 88 years old and lived a good, long and happy life.Born in Dracut, MA, on September 29, 1935, he was the beloved son of the late Edward and Virginia (Dickson) Nolin. Mr. Nolin was an Air Force veteran and retired Eastern Airlines Captain who was an avid sports fan and especially loved all things Patriots, Red Sox and Celtics. He loved golf, reading, music and birdwatching and was visited regularly on his back porch by blue birds, finches and humming birds which gave him much joy...even the squirrels which were a comic relief. He also loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was much beloved by his family, by the local community of Canberra Village and by all who met him and who got to know him—even briefly.He will be dearly missed by all those who knew him. North Andover - Richard "Dick" G. Munroe, 91, of North Andover, MA, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024 after a period of declining health, one month shy of his 92nd birthday.Dick was born in 1932 and raised in Andover, MA. He graduated from Punchard High School in 1950. He met the love of his life, Jane, at Punchard; they wed in 1952. Dick served in the United States Air Force from 1952 to 1956. During the course of his service, he and Jane lived in St. Louis, MO; and Oakland, CA. Upon his discharge from the Air Force, Dick and Jane moved to Burlington, MA with their infant son Don. Dick received his associate's degree from the Bentley School of Accounting and Finance in 1952, his Bachelor of Science from Suffolk University in 1962, and his Master of Business Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1967. He worked for Carter's in Needham, MA before moving to Oakland, NJ in 1963 to work for Lever Brothers in New York City. He and his family returned to Andover in 1967, where he began working at Western Electric. He retired from Western Electric in 1990. He fully retired in 1997 after a brief stint at the IRS.Dick loved spending time with his family more than anything. He was also an avid golfer, having achieved three holes-in-one. He was a long-time member at White Cliffs Country Club in Plymouth, MA while living in a condo on the 15th hole after retirement. Once Jane retired and the couple moved to Sagamore Beach, Dick golfed at Sandwich Hollows Golf Club daily. When they moved to a house on the Merrimack Valley Golf Club in Methuen, MA in 2009, Dick was a member there until 2019 at age 87. He loved golf because it allowed him to spend time with his son, son-in-law, and grandson, and he made many lasting friendships on the golf course. Besides golf, Dick enjoyed gardening, bowling, playing horseshoes, playing cards (bridge, whist, and 45's) and playing pool. He was able to enjoy these activities at Edgewood LifeCare Community in North Andover, MA, where he and Jane moved in 2016.Besides his loving wife of 71 years, Jane, Dick will be dearly missed by his son, Donald, of Nashua, NH; his daughter, Nancy Corsaro, and her husband, Frank, of Methuen, MA; his grandsons Matthew and Michael Corsaro, of Methuen, MA; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Kathryn, brothers Allan and Gordon, niece Diane Lavoie and nephew Bob Munroe.

Andover - Roland A. Bibeau peacefully passed away June 3, 2024. He was born in Lawrence MA to Wilfrid and Aurore Bibeau and grew up in Sacred Heart Parish and the French-Canadian community. Roland graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1947. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He worked as a pressman for the Lowell Sun until his retirement. He loved his family very much and enjoyed keeping track of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.Roland was predeceased by his beloved wife Helena L. (Beaulieu) Bibeau in 1976. He is survived by their loving children Janet Bibeau and her partner Edward Fennessey of Braintree, MA, Joanne Bibeau and her companion Barry Posin of Braintree, MA, Paul Bibeau and his wife Linda of Yorba Linda, CA, DonnaMarie and her husband Richard Gorzela of Billerica, and Stephen Bibeau of Amesbury; adoring grandchildren Stephanie and her husband Nikita Petrenko, Brittany and her husband Aaron Lamon, Hillary and her husband Cameron Forsberg, Jeremy Bibeau and his wife Megan, Elise Gorzela, Raymond Gorzela, Adam Bibeau and his wife Abby, Lillian Bibeau, and Gavin Bibeau; and cherished great grandchildren Vianne, Archie and Henry.In 1992 he married Joan (Rivard) Tremblay, his dear companion until her death in 2021. Methuen - Sandra Giles Perrault, 85, died peacefully at home in Methuen on March 27, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. A woman of incredible strength, resilience, warmth and intelligence, Sandra was accomplished in many areas of life, but was always modest in demeanor. Whether you called her Mom, Nana or Aunt Sandra, not a single birthday, anniversary or other important event passed without a card or note from her. She was the epitome of understated elegance, style and grace. Sandra was known for her thoughtfulness and small kindnesses. She was always thinking of others. Sandra Jean Giles was born at home in Methuen on July 9, 1938, the youngest child of Frank Stuart Giles and Dorothy Elizabeth (Moore) Giles. Sandra attended Methuen public schools, graduating from Tenney High School with the Class of 1955. She received a full scholarship to Pembroke College in Brown University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology in 1959. Greeting Sandra in heaven is her husband of 62 years, Dr. Thomas S. Perrault, Sr., and her beloved daughter Elisabeth Perrault Hooper. She is survived by four of her children: Dr. Thomas S. Derry - Jerome "Jerry" Joseph Guerrin, 79, of Derry, NH, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024, at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH. He was born on April 26, 1945, in Brooklyn, NY, to the late Jerome and Edna (Lee) Guerrin. He graduated from St. Francis College, Brooklyn, NY. Jerry proudly served his country with the United States Army serving as a Military Police Officer in Korea during the Vietnam War. Upon his return home, he resumed working with the United States Custom Agency as a Special Agent Group Supervisor at SAC offices in NYC, Washington, D.C. and Boston. He was president of the New England Chapter of the Association of Former Customs & Homeland Security Special Agents. He will be missed by many and his stories will live on forever. Jerry was an active member of the Derry Salem Elks Lodge and participated in their pool leagues. He also enjoyed kayaking with Carol in NH, ME and eastern Long Island, NY and attending many Pan Am alumni conventions and functions. Salem - Thelma Ann "Terry" (Terrio) McGreevy, 86, of Salem, NH (formerly Methuen, MA) passed away peacefully early Monday morning, June 3, 2024, at High Pointe Hospice House of Haverhill.Terry was born in Boston on August 11, 1937 and was the daughter of the late Peter H. and Theresa (Creighton) Terrio.Terry was the beloved wife of the late George McGreevy. She is survived by her two of her three children and six grandchildren, who affectionately called her "Grammy". Her children are Sheilagh McGreevy Shiepe (husband, Theodore Jr.), Michael McGreevy, who recently predeceased his mother, and Erin McGreevy Sullivan, (Husband, Ted.). Her grandchildren are George, Aidan, Casey and Brendan Shiepe, Kaitlyn and Michael Sullivan.She was raised in Portland, Maine until the passing of her father, when she was seven. She then moved to the Plains section of Lawrence with her mother, and also lived in St. Augustine, FL. She was a graduate of Lawrence High School, Class of 1955. After high school, Terry first went to work for Liberty Mutual, and then Dr. Morton B. Green. She later met her husband, George, at the Austin Guild Bowling League and danced many nights away at Bob White's in North Andover. She and George married in 1963 and settled in West Methuen to raise their family. She was an active participant in the Marsh School PTA, taught CCD for St. Monica's Parish, and was a volunteer driver for Meals on Wheels, along with being a Girl Scout leader.She established her role as a stay-at-home mother until George passed away in 1984. After his death, she worked as a site manager for Rockingham County Meals on Wheels until her retirement. She also earned an Associate degree in Human Services in 1988, Summa Cum Laude, from Castle College. She most enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, reading voraciously, watching her favorite New England sports teams, vacationing at the beach, and doing crafts. She was an avid card maker and got so much joy from sending cards to friends and family. In today's terms, Terry was a maker. She was an accomplished seamstress, knitter, crocheter, and a beautiful folk art painter. Her hand-knitted sweaters were constantly requested as new baby gifts. During her retirement, she was also able to travel throughout Europe. She will be remembered for her kindness, wisdom, and her secret charitable giving. Terry will be missed dearly by her family, and lifelong friends.Visitation for relatives and friends will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, June 6, from 4:00pm-7:00pm. Atkinson - Leona (Bell) Paul, 88, of Atkinson NH and Boca Raton, FL, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.She was born in Winthrop MA on June 23, 1935, daughter of the late Alexander and Alice (Jonas) Bell.Leona was educated in the Revere School System and graduated from Revere High School with the Class of 1952.As a young woman Leona was quite a strong swimmer often beating all of the boys at Revere Beach. At 12 years old she met the love of her life, Baynard. And from then the two were inseparable, married and of course the rest of their story is well known. Leona's life centered around her family and home, she was an excellent cook and made every Jewish holiday a memorable gastric event. She loved gardening and in her later years became an accomplished artist. Haverhill - Arline S. (Rogers) Martin, 87, widow of the late Jeno Martin, of Haverhill, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 5 at the Hannah Duston Healthcare Center.Born in Newburyport on April 20, 1937 she was the daughter of the late Leslie and Marcia (Knowlton) Rogers. She graduated from Newburyport High School and immediately followed her passion of becoming a nurse. She graduated from Melrose Wakefield Nursing School in 1958. Arline was the Director of Nursing for over 20 years for Whittier Health Network. She retired as director but was not ready to leave nursing and became a Case Manager until full retirement. She met many wonderful friends in the nursing field and stayed in touch with many of them.Arline loved to travel and enjoyed trips to Disney with her friend Joanne and as she would say, "one happy Island" of Aruba was her favorite destination. She loved the excitement and action at casinos and loved to play Keno. When she was not the life of the party, you could find her reading a good book or doing crafts like tole painting, cross stitch, knitting and crocheting. Arline was a woman of strong convictions, blessed with the ability and determination to get almost anything done. She was the driving force and guiding light for her family her entire life. She could not be sold on anything that didn't make sense, as she was driven by her common sense, character, and love of God to always steer the ship in the right directions.Arline had much love and dedication for her three children, seven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She is survived by her son Stephen A. LaMarca of Haverhill, and her daughters Kimberly Hosford and her partner John Tyler of Haverhill, and Sonya M. Colson of Sanford, ME. Watertown - Chhoeunly "Chilly" Phoeung, 36, of Watertown & formerly of Methuen & Lawrence, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Portsmouth Regional Medical Center. He was the son of Sopaul Phoeung Chhath and Rachana Neang. Born in Lawrence, Chilly and his family later moved to Methuen & he was a graduate of Methuen High School, class of 2006. A born creative type, he later attended MassArt where he received a bachelor's degree in graphic design. He was a successful graphic designer, most recently working as the art director for Kenzie Academy. Following graduation, Chilly remained in the Merrimack Valley area where he met his partner, Ryan. In 2020, they relocated to Austin, TX, where they lived happily for four years. In February of this year, they decided to return to Massachusetts & settled in Watertown. Chilly was an avid traveler. In 2015, he and his family went to Cambodia, a trip where he caught the travel bug. Since then, he and Ryan have traveled to Mexico, St. Lucia, Portugal, and several cities across America. With an appreciation for a well-prepared meal, Chilly was not embarrassed to tell you that he wasn't a cook, but in fact a food critic. Ryan loved to learn new recipes and Chilly loved to try them. Always one to take care of everyone in his life around him, he also enjoyed self-care, with a particular focus on his nails and skin. Chilly was a popular creator on social media, showcasing his love of all things plant related. Designing his own tattoos was another great love of his and he decorated his body with many beautiful pieces. Music was very important in his life; his favorite performer was Beyoncé, who he was extremely happy to have seen live in Houston last summer. Chilly and Ryan had recently lost their beloved dog and best friend, Pepper. We hope that they are together now. Chilly's loved ones want him to be remembered as a gentle, kind-hearted, responsible, silly, sweet man who put family above everything else. Manchester - LoriAnn Pilat Desmarais, age 54, passed away on May 30, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Methuen, MA to Roger Pilat and Susan Bergeron.She was a graduate of Salem High School and Hesser College and began a career as an Executive Assistant. She worked at various organizations, including Hamilton Law Offices, ADP and the Farnum Center. Most recently, she and her husband Jay owned Bowlful, a small restaurant in Manchester, NH.Lori and her husband Jay shared nearly 20 years of marriage and a deep love for one another. Together they created a blended family who came together to share family nights, celebrations big and small, and vacations. They enjoyed two decades of vacations to Wells Beach in Maine, Lori's happy place. Lori loved her children immensely, but her greatest joy was being a Gigi to her 6 grandchildren. Family was very important to her and guided her every decision. Andover - Terence Michael Burke, 66, Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend, local businessperson, died Friday, May 31, at his home in Andover, MA, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Methuen, MA, on July 18, 1957, to Francis and Constance (Winn) Burke. Terry is survived by his wife of 38 years, Melissa (McCabe), who was his college sweetheart; his children, Patrick (Katey), Christopher (Natasha), Brendan, and Ava; and his beloved grandchildren, Amelia, Andrew, and Vivian.He is predeceased by his parents, Francis and Constance of Salem, NH, and his cherished bird, Vinca. Despite living with prostate cancer for a decade, Terry was in excellent health until shortly before his passing. His positive attitude was a beacon of light, inspiring those around him and showing that one can maintain a positive outlook even in the face of adversity.Terry's life was a testament to his unwavering dedication to his family, home, and work. Ultimately, his love for his family and friends truly defined him. The time spent with his beloved grandchildren gave him immense joy. His extended family and friends were not just people in his life; they were cherished deeply. His presence at any gathering made it fun and memorable. He was always ready to go the extra mile for others, a true reflection of his character.As a third-generation owner of Dodge Grain Co. in Salem, NH, alongside his brother Frank, Terry's leadership and tenacity guided the business for more than four decades. Terry took immense pride in working with his son Brendan, his niece Kelly, his nephew Buck, and his many loyal employees. His devoted customers appreciated his kindness and attentive service. He had a profound love for his work, finding fulfillment in being productive and contributing to the success of his business.Terry was an outstanding athlete. He excelled in swimming, football, basketball, baseball, and track and field in his youth. He was a three-sport high school athlete named to numerous all-star teams and inducted into the inaugural Austin Preparatory School Athletic Hall of Fame for football. At Bates College, he was the captain of the football team. On the field, he was an intense competitor. When he stepped off the field, he was a quiet leader, a dedicated friend, and a gentle soul.As an adult, he was an enthusiastic runner, completing many road races and marathons. He was disciplined about keeping fit, and his trips to the gym were a part of his daily regimen. He was also an ardent spectator of all sports. In particular, he loved watching the New England Patriots with family or friends. Watching his children engage and compete on the field was a source of immense pride for Terry. He was a keen observer and had a critical eye for the intricacies of sport.As a lifelong gardener, Terry grew vegetables each summer and loved sharing his bounty with family and friends. He also kept bees and chickens, so visitors to his home never left empty-handed, whether with honey, eggs, or his tasty kosher dill pickles.Terry Burke left a legacy of love and dedication that will be forever missed by all fortunate enough to know him. Mary was a proud alumna of the last graduating class of Lowell Tech (UMass Lowell), continuing her education and receiving her Master's in Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University. Mary had distinguished career in finance; working for Wang, Hewlitt Packard, and most notably over 25 years working at Kronos, where she retired from in 2018 as Senior Director of Finance.Outgoing and social by nature, Mary loved to surround herself with family and friends. With Ted by her side, Mary was a summer fixture along the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee for the last 33 years. The massive network of friends expanded in the last ten years, as Mary and Ted spent their winters in Myrtle Beach, where Mary filled her days with walks along the beach and a newfound love for golf. She was a constant source of comfort, wisdom, and laughter. Mary found joy in traveling the world with her husband and made friends everywhere she went. Above all, Mary loved her family more than anything else. Mary cherished Sunday dinners with her parents, siblings, and nephews. Byron Jr, 95, of Salem, NH and previously of Andover, MA. passed away on Wednesday, May 29th, 2024, at the Salemhaven Nursing Center.He was born on December 5, 1928, to Eugenia (Beaudet) and Alexander Byron Sr. Alexander was raised in Lawrence, MA, attended local schools and went on to attend Central Catholic High School, where he was the Quarterback for the football team as well as playing baseball. He graduated in 1947 and took courses at the Franklin Institute of Electronics. Alexander married the love of his life on July 3, 1949, and the couple raised their family in Lawrence, MA. He spent his career working as a Quality Control Analyst for Western Electric, now Lucent Technologies, until his retirement in 1986.Alexander was a life member and Range Officer of the Andover Sportsmen Club and the Lawrence Rod and Gun Club, where he had served as Club President. He had a love for sports, whether it was hunting, fishing, target practicing, football, or baseball and played as a catcher for the CYO baseball team and coached in the Methuen Little League for many years.He was very proud of his family, beginning with his father and his decorated service as a Captain in the United States Army Cavalry Division, displaying his father's medals on the walls of his home. He adored his wife, or as he often referred to her, his best friend. Alex cared for her in their home until 2018. Haverhill - Salvatore J. "Sal" Amari, 98, formerly of Haverhill, passed away on Wednesday, May 29 at the Lutheran Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in Worcester.Sal was born in Utica, New York the son of Joseph and Lena (Durso) Amari. A veteran of WWII, Sal served 16 months overseas under command General George Patton Co. A, 330th Infantry Regiment, the battles of Rhineland, Ardennes, and Central Europe. After the end of the War, he was assigned to the Army of Occupation in Germany before being discharged March 31, 1946. He had been drafted November 9, 1943 at age eighteen. Sal was employed for 26 years at the Boston Navy Yard as an Engineering Draftsman, retiring in 1974 when the facility was closed.A resident of the Mount Washington district of Haverhill for 78 years, he volunteered in neighborhood committees to promote improvement projects and in parish activities at St. Rita's Church until its closing. He was very active in the Italian community as the Historian of the Victor Emanuel Lodge, Order of the Sons of Italy. Many of his historical accounts are in the Special Collections section of the Haverhill Public Library. Sal has been the recipient of many awards and citations for his service to the Italian community. In an article by Gazette staff writer, Tom Vartabedian, on June 1, 1992 Sal was referred to as "Senior is Heartbeat of Italian Community".As a musician, Sal has been a member of the Lodge's Drum Corps as a drummer and instructor since 1948. Since 1965, he has been a drummer for Haverhill City Band and a member of the Haverhill Musician's Union, Local 302.Sal studied art in Boston, graduating from Scott Carbee School of Fine Arts and the School of Practical Art. He taught art classes at YWCA in 1950 and since 1997 as a substitute teacher in the Haverhill schools. He is a former member of the Greater Haverhill Art Association.Sal leaves behind his nephew, John A. Ranieri of Lancaster, MA, his brother Anthony J. Amari and his wife, Debra of Lakewood, New Mexico and a first cousin Peter Artale and his wife, Helga of Franklin, MA. He was predeceased by his sister Frances M. Prior to the birth of their fourth child they settled in Andover Massachusetts where Frances raised the children at home. Frances was committed to her faith and actively participated in pilgrimages to the Vatican in Rome, as well as supported many World Youth Days for her family. Frances and David had a love for the ocean; many summers were spent in Gloucester at Wingaersheek Beach where they had had their first "date", and they enjoyed family days and cook-outs in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Rockport, Salisbury, Hampton, NH and York, Maine. In retirement years she and David enjoyed the sunshine during winters in Melbourne Beach and Barefoot Bay, Florida.What was most important to Frances was her family and her deep faith centered in a devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, love for the Blessed Virgin Mary, and belief in the Real Presence of Jesus in the Most Holy Eucharist.Frances is survived by her children, David Hennessey and his wife, Deborah of Salisbury, Elizabeth Doyle and her husband, Francis of West Roxbury, the Reverend Daniel Hennessey, of Topsfield and Middleton, and Catherine Reese and her husband, Tyler of Rochester, NH, her grandchildren, Joseph, Peter, Anna, and Maria Reese, Kassandra Caruso and her husband, Kenneth Jr. of Merrimac, her great grandchildren, Kenneth Caruso III and Zackary Caruso, her sister Joanne and husband David Howard of North Andover, niece Jennifer and son Timothy, nephews Gregory and Timothy, her cousins Carol Barricelli of Malden, Bernadette Mahoney of Billerica, Joseph Patterson of Florida, Donna (Fournier) Williams, of Yarmouth,ME; Stephen Fournier, of Portland, ME; Patricia (Fournier) Gott, of Coventry, RI, Joan (Fournier) Genest, of CT and many other beloved friends and extended family. Methuen - Eugene W. Zabierek, 93, a longtime resident of Methuen, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2024 at High Point Hospice House.Eugene was predeceased by his wife, Bertha. Eugene and Bertha celebrated 65 years of marriage with two children. He was born in Dracut, MA on June 20, 1930 to the late Anthony and Aniela (Kaczmarczyk) Zabierek.Eugene was proud to have served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Upon his return, he began his 38-year career with Western Union Telegraph. After taking early retirement, he began his second career, for 25 years, as the Chief Grounds man at Holy Family Hospital.Eugene married Bertha on September 11, 1954 during hurricane Edna. Although the storm delayed the wedding for more than 10 hours, a determined groom made his way to his bride and they were married by candlelight. Eugene was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. When he was not spending time with his family, he could be found riding his John Deer tractor or working in his garden. He was a farmer at heart.Eugene was predeceased by his loving grandson, Aaron, who he fondly nicknamed Charlie. (Bourneuf) Demarais, 93, formerly of Haverhill, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 27 surrounded by family at her home in Bellingham, MA.Rose was born in Haverhill on July 6, 1930, to Ralph Bourneuf and Agnes Ambrose. Full of energy and always learning Rose worked as a Sales Representative for Ciba Giegy selling medical equipment, and retired from this company at the age of 70. True to herself, Rose worked at various other jobs, such as working at the desk at a dental office until she was 80. She never stopped moving forward and never stopped learning something new. Rose was an avid reader with a library of books including many on the history of the US as well as mysteries and crime novels. She was immensely proud of her French roots and read many books on the emigration of her family from France to Nova Scotia, finally settling in Haverhill. Growing up during the big band era, Rose was a lover of music and dancing. He went on to Tufts School of Medicine graduating in 1956.Dr. MacMillan started his medical career in the US Army being stationed at Letterman Army Hospital, San Francisco, Brooke Army Medical Center, San Antonio, TX; Tripler Army Hospital, Honolulu, HI and Martin Army Hospital, Columbus, GA. After leaving the US Army, Dr. MacMillan and his family settled in Haverhill, MA where he joined Dr. Albert B. Consentino in private practice in 1964. In 1966 Dr. MacMillan was a founding member of Pentucket Medical Associates located on Summer Street before moving to its present location at One Parkway in Haverhill with various satellite offices opened throughout the Merrimack Valley. He was a president of the Merrimack Valley Chapter of the American Heart Association. He was also a member of the Rotary Club of Haverhill and various physician organizations.During the course of his 50 plus year career in the Merrimack Valley, he was board certified in internal medicine, and practiced in cardiology, endocrinology and nuclear medicine. He was instrumental in getting the new Hale Hospital built on Lincoln Avenue in Haverhill and established the cutting edge Nuclear Medicine Department located within. He lovingly took care of multiple generations of families from Haverhill and surrounding communities. He was old school in his approach to treating the whole person and their concerned families.Kirwan was a history buff and a lifelong seeker of knowledge. He enjoyed Sailing, especially with his boys on his sailboat the Aeolus, as well as with his physician colleagues. He loved skiing, and spent countless winter seasons at Waterville Valley where each weekend would include being surrounded by his many children and grandchildren on the slopes. He loved travelling and stepped on every continent in the world, having travelled to Antarctica in his 80's. He was an avid student of the stock market. Above all else, he enjoyed spending time with his family, and being a devoted and loving husband, a guiding and caring father, and the best "Papa" a grandchild or great grandchild could ask for. Kirwan was a one of a kind personality, bigger than life, yet down to earth at the same time. He regaled friends and family with many interesting stories of his incredibly amazing life. Salem - Robert R. Eichhorn Sr, 90, died from congestive heart failure May 22, 2024, at home surrounded by family. He was the son of Raymond and Andrea Eichhorn. Bob graduated from Searles High School, Class of 1952. Following graduation, he served as a Gunner's Mate in the U.S. Navy onboard USS Haynsworth DD 700, during the Korean War. After release from service, he went on to Dunwoody College of Culinary Arts before returning home to work with his father at the family bakery. In 1955, he married Carolyn Ward, and they settled in Salem NH where they raised their 5 sons. Bob was a member of the Derry-Salem Elks #2226, VFW Post 8546, and Salem-Pelham Fish and Game Club. He was also a Shriner and Master Mason. He loved fishing, hunting and making people laugh. Jay grew up in Lawrence and was the son of the late Raymond Bauters and the late Argentine Mary (Gisquiere) Benson. Jay served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1955 and worked for Western Electric/Lucent Technologies for many years. He took early retirement to care for his son John. Jay loved to dance and fish, and loved playing cards with his wife and their friends. He enjoyed daily breakfast at Sammy J's and he made many friends there as well. She enjoyed spending time at the beach and at her summer house in Rockport, and loved to spend time with her dog, Mini Loo. Windham - Beverly "Lal" A. (Mackenzie) Meuse, 90, longtime resident of Windham, NH, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Beverly was born on May 30, 1933, to the late Lorimer and Della (Astle) Mackenzie.Cobbetts Pond in Windham was a very special place to Beverly. She enjoyed her childhood summers, met her future husband, and lived the last 35 years of her life on Cobbetts Pond.Beverly was raised in Wakefield, MA and graduated from Wakefield High School. After receiving her BS in Accounting from Bentley University, Beverly worked in accounting at Harvard University Press, Salem Building Supply and Donabedian Brothers. She and her husband later owned P.S. Meuse Construction followed by Island Pond Mobil in Derry, NH. Beverly made many friends while serving their loyal customer base. Her favorite vacation spots included Tortola Island in the British Virgin Islands and her family house in Placida, Florida.Beverly is survived by her loving husband Phillip S. Her faith ran deep.Donna worked for the IRS for many years and following retirement, she spent time at Camp Wonderland, Easter Seals, and the Moore Center. Her family notes that Donna loved going to Camp Allan, a non-profit camp for adults with different abilities. Donna would make new friends each summer, take day trips to the beach, go out for ice cream and make hundreds of crafts. The care and support from the staff helped Donna be her best self.She adored her nieces and nephews and she always seemed to have a camera in her hands. North Andover - Carol McNally, 87, a longtime resident of North Andover, passed away on May 20th, surrounded by her loving family at High Pointe House in Haverhill, MA. She and her twin sister, Sally (Welch), were born on Christmas Eve 1936 in Lawrence, MA, to the late Milton and Helen (Budd) Downs.She grew up in Salem, NH, and graduated from Woodbury High School in 1954. During her school years, Carol was president of the National Honor Society, editor of her school newspaper, and played both varsity basketball and field hockey. She attended UNH and Keene State College, where she graduated in 1959. She later received her Master's in Education Degree. Carol was a history, civics, and economics teacher and taught in both the Salem, NH, and Georgetown, MA, school systems. She left to raise a family, but later substituted for many years in the Boxford, MA public schools. In 1964 she married her beloved husband Stephen McNally with whom she celebrated 55 years of marriage. Together they raised 4 children and eight grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, planting flowers, her many pet cats, and she became known for her homemade cookies and blueberry muffins. She enjoyed summers at her cottage in Bridgton, Maine for the past 49 years.Carol was predeceased by her husband Steve, her twin sister Sally, her parents, and her grandson John Lynch. She loved opera and made numerous pilgrimages with friends to the Metropolitan Opera House in New York City to see her favorites.Beverly was an active, long-time member of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Reading. She had a particular interest in Buddhist philosophy and, with Henry, was a member of the Institute on Religion in the Age of Science, for many years attending their annual summer conference on Star Island in New Hampshire. She was also an active member of the International Association for Religious Freedom, with whom she traveled to India, Japan and Taiwan.Above all, Beverly was a loving wife and companion to Henry and a devoted stepmother to her adopted family. After Henry's passing, she helped keep the children and their families connected. She hosted an annual Christmas dinner, typically at the Colonial Inn in Concord, followed by a Yankee Swap, where gifts, often humorous, were opened and exchanged.Beverly was born on April 12, 1933, in Coventry, Ri., where she was raised. She attended the University of Rhode Island and worked for twenty-one years as a Research Technician in the Neurosurgical Department at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She and Henry were longtime residents of the Millpond community in North Andover. Mullin, 89, of Salem, died peacefully on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at his home in Salem, surrounded by his loving family.Born and raised in Lowell, MA, he was the son of the late William E. and Cecelia Concordia Mullin. He graduated from Keith Academy as a member of the Class of 1952. He went on to receive his Bachelor's degree in Management from Northeastern University as a member of the ROTC program and served in the U.S. Army rising to the rank of Captain before his discharge in 1960.Bill was employed by a defense contractor as a manufacturing operations manager for many years until his retirement. He was a long- time member of Holy Angels Parish of Plaistow, and member of the parish choir. He served his parish as an usher and as a religious education instructor teaching Confirmation classes. He was a member of the St. Jude Council of the Knights of Columbus, Plaistow and a 4th degree member of Bishop Peterson Assembly.An avid Red Sox fan, Bill was devoted to his family and especially enjoyed holiday dinners and birthday celebrations. He also enjoyed playing Chess, Bowling, Playing 45's and caring for his beloved German Shepherds.Predeceased in 2018 by his beloved wife June, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two sons and a daughter-in-law, William E. Hampstead - Theodore 'Ted' Richard Krzesowski, 88, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 18th, 2024. Born in Springfield MA, on December 9th, 1935, he was the son of Theodore and Stella [Gawlik] Krzesowski. After proudly serving his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and earning a degree in electrical engineering at Boston's Wentworth Institute of Technology, Ted worked as a microwave engineer for Microwave Associates, Micro-Dynamics and Herley Industries for over 40 years in the Boston area. He was a life-long parishioner of the Congregational Church, including participation at the First Congregational Church of Indian Orchard, the North Reading Union Congregational Church and locally and the Hampstead Congregational Church.Ted is survived by his wife Paula Yolanda Guzman, sister Judith Krzesowski and her partner Aleksa, son Kenneth Krzesowski McLellan and his wife Kimberly, daughter Wendy Krzesowski, and grandchildren Sophie (21), Briar (19) and Charlotte (15). He is also survived by Emery Bjerkmann, the mother of his children.His outdoor interests were numerous and varied, and included sailing, kayaking, photography, volleyball, archeology and gardening. Ted was extremely creative, and mechanically gifted. During his 40-year residency in Hampstead, he was always fixing something for someone! After building two cottages in Maine earlier in his life, he later created many beautiful pieces of custom stained glass art from his home studio. Throughout his life, Ted had an intense, active interest in so many subjects. He kept his curiosity high, and stayed learning his entire life. Ted's heartfelt concern for the well-being of others was infectious - he made us want to be better, and do better. He will be so missed, and his thoughtful spirit will be carried on by all those that knew him. Ted and his wife Yolanda shared an inspirational bond of love and support for over 20 years, while tirelessly and unselfishly caring for others. She was the first nurse at Sarah's Place in Haverhill where she worked the final 14 years of her career, retiring to continue enjoying even more time with her family and particularly at the family camp in her kayak or watching the hummingbirds. Bedford - Robert L. Letoile, 90, a resident of Bedford since 1996, and a former resident of Hampstead, NH, and North Conway, NH, died peacefully on Saturday, January 27, 2024.Born in Haverhill, MA, he was the son of the late William and Kathryn (Ayer) Letoile, and was raised and educated in Hampstead. After graduating from High School in 1951., Mr. Letoile was drafted by the Saint Louis Cardinals and played as a pitcher in the 1951 and 1952 seasons. A veteran of the Korean Conflict, Mr. Letoile enlisted in the U.S. Army and served as a Specialist 3, until his honorable discharge in 1954.Following his discharge from the service, Mr. Letoile was employed by the family business, Wiiliam Letoile Roofing Company. He later established his own business, Letoile Construction Co. in North Conway and was a part owner of Black Mountain Ski Resort.A longtime member of the Hampstead Fire Department, he served as Fire Chief for seven years. He also volunteered his time as a coach for the Hampstead Little League and Babe Ruth League and maintained a life-long love of the game. In appreciation of his devotion to the town and the sport, the Hampstead Baseball Field was named in his honor. He was a member of the Hampstead Congregational Church and former member of the Hampstead Civic Club. Moving to North Conway in 1977, he was a member of the Kiwanis Club of North Conway.A devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he enjoyed skiing, baseball, furniture building and attending his grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's sporting events.Predeceased in March of 2023, by his high school sweetheart and wife of 64 years, Dorothy (Mansur) Letoile, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by three daughters, Lisa A. Tipton - Nancy J. Batchelder, 90 of Tipton passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024 in Kokomo. Nancy was born in Haverhill, Massachusetts on June 7, 1933 to her parents Martin H. & Evelyn (Peters) Cole. She married Arthur Batchelder on July 25, 1953 and he preceded her in death on January 25, 1986. Nancy had previously lived in Merrimac, Massachusetts, Sebring, Florida and Mason, Ohio and in Tipton since 1995.She was a graduate of Haverhill High School in the Class of 1951. Nancy had worked as an electrical tester for both AT&T and Western Electric. She was an avid walker and was always seen walking around Tipton with her stand-up walker. She worked wonders with cross stitch making many gifts for her family and friends. Nancy always enjoyed traveling and made an exciting trip to Europe but by far her favorite place to visit was Alaska. She was also a voracious reader and would routinely devour at least 100 mystery novels each year.Survivors include her two children, Lyn Diamond and husband Harry of Tipton and Thomas Batchelder of Plaistow, New Hampshire; three grandchildren, Katherine Diamond, Benjamin Diamond and Brendon Batchelder and wife Tess Batchelder who is expecting Nancy's first great-granddaughter.
