Job Description

Mission

The Mothership is on a mission to build consumer brands that people want to be a part of. We are looking for a super-organised, fast learner who has a desire to learn how to successfully manage our supply chain for all the brands under ownership, and implement strategies to improve efficiencies and enhance overall business performance.

What we offer

  • Opportunity to make an impact from day one: You'll be joining the team at an early stage with huge growth ambitions, so we are looking for future leaders only.

  • Be at the forefront of an exciting industry: We're at the epicentre of a once-in-a-lifetime business opportunity that is seeing billions of funding. The Mothership is a well-funded company (raised $22million) buying and building loveable and more sustainable brands - high-quality products you can be proud of.

  • Unparalleled hands-on learning: You'll go straight into a multidisciplinary eCommerce environment with end-to-end involvement in product, customer journey, marketing, and creative, underpinned by data-driven feedback loops.

  • Flexible working conditions: We are a distributed team by design assessed by our results, not the hours sat in the office. You'll have the option to work remotely or in our Shoreditch, London office (or a bit of both!).

  • Inclusivity and well-being support: Great work comes from highly motivated and engaged people. We offer gym memberships, free therapy sessions, birthdays off, L&D budgets, equity options, and a 70% discount on all of our products; while constantly looking for more holistic well-being offerings for the whole team.

  • Be part of something bigger: 20%+ of our equity belongs to a foundation that promotes sustainability and social mobility.

  • Thrive in a vibrant and diverse team: One of our core values is "Embrace the Adventure" - and we certainly do! From Great Gatsby Christmas parties, to Barcelona company offsites, we know how important it is to get to know our colleagues.

Desired Outcomes

  • Learn how to competently run the end-to-end supply chain process.

  • Develop reports on volumes, KPI’s, freight spending, and logistics efficiencies to assist with key top-level decisions.

  • Consolidate supply chain processes across the different brands to improve operational efficiencies.

  • Enhance relationships and communication channels with 3PLs, freight forwarders and suppliers.

  • Actively oversee logistics and finance software.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Assist with the quality assurance and manufacturing processes, managing a growing number of suppliers based in China, the US, the UK and Europe.

  • Collaborate with Finance and Growth teams on stock forecasting and inventory planning.

  • Assist in structuring the logistics plan of new markets and channels, developing profit models and setting up legal requirements.

  • Monitor stock levels and avoid stock-outs by sending stock into Amazon Fulfilment Centers on a weekly basis.

  • Drive supply chain robustness and optimisationsby actively researching new suppliers and manufacturers.

  • Manage invoices and data to optimise the balance between Landed COGS, On-Time Delivery and Working Capital Employed.

  • Manage logistics and finance software, including NetSuite & Linnworks, for PO management, integrations and overall stock reconciliation.
