Northwest Yachts were constructed using vinyl ester resins throughout, not just in the outer layers. Unlike polyester resins, vinyl ester resins can stretch up to 5% before fracturing. The NW45 was constructed using a uni-molding process that builds the boat with only 5 major molded components. This limits any secondary bonding and provides a much stronger integrated structure with little chance of stress cracking as there is little or no filler needed.

The interior of Emerald City is adorned with beautiful handcrafted Makore cherry wood with carpeted and newly installed Amitco flooring. The main salon is an open, bright and suprisingly very spacious, this in part thanks to vessels asymectrical deckhouse design that increased the salon overall space by probably 20-25%. Staterooms include a forward queen island owners suite with ensuite head and a guest stateroom with stacked single berths and a guest head. A great feature are the Bosch stacked separate washder and dryer that are located in the foyer just aft of the owners suite and the large foyer pantry

Emerald City offers both a pilothouse and flybridge helm stations, both equipped wiht Furtuno navigational equipment. Getting between the two helms is pretty easy with the port pilothouse bridge access starirs. Updates/upgrades includes new Furuno navigational equipment.

The pilothouse is smartly designed to offer the helmsperson and crew exceptional visibilty while operating the vessael, this is inpart thanks to the forward inverted windshield which cuts down considerably on sun glare. The electrical power for Emerald City is provided via both a 250/125VAC Glendinning Cablemaster system, a 125V/30A shore power inlet, Northern Lights 12kw Generator, Magnum Energy 4kw inverter/charger, the ships DC battery system and a Victron Smart-Solar charger with 4X solar panels that are installed on the flybridge deck. The AC & DC power is managed through power distribution panels located in the pilothouse.

Solar panel system: Installed in 2024, cost $7000. Four 185 watt panels installed on upper boat deck, and lead to Victron controller located under the salon settee.
